Richard B. Cheney a distinguished public servant and businessman is vice president of the United States. Cheney was a well-known name on the Washington political scene. George W. Dick Cheney, who served the United States as secretary and chief of staff during the presidency as well as during Congress has been a great servant to our nation. Republicans and Democrats alike respect his honesty. Cheney says the role he plays within the administration as one of a frank but discreet adviser to Bush. Cheney has stated in accepting his appointment as Republican vice president that he would like to be a president candidate who is willing to be a cross-partisan collaborator and work in a manner of good will and for a common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on the 30th of January, 1941 in Lincoln Nebraska. At the age of 13, Richard Bruce moved with his parents to Casper (in the state of Wyoming) where his father was Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's the district for soil conservation.
